FAQ

Questions, answered.

Buying, renting, delivery, and custom builds. Start here, then ask us about the details of your project.

Buying a container

What sizes of containers do you sell?

We offer 20-foot and 40-foot containers. A 20-foot container suits tools, equipment, and supplies where space is tight. A 40-foot container gives you room for inventory, larger equipment, or a workspace.

Not sure which fits? Tell us how you plan to use it and where it will go, and we’ll help you choose.

Are the containers new or used?

Availability and condition change over time, so ask about current options when you request a quote.

You may see these common terms: “one-trip” containers have made a single ocean voyage and are close to new; “cargo-worthy” containers are certified for shipping; “wind and watertight” containers are used units suited to storage but not shipping.

How much does a container cost?

Price depends on the size, condition, any modifications, and the delivery distance, so we quote each project individually. Include your size, delivery ZIP code, and timeline in your request for the most accurate quote.

Renting a container

Can I rent a container instead of buying one?

Yes. Rentals work well for jobsite storage, seasonal space, and business projects such as a move or renovation.

How long can I rent a container?

Rental terms are set as part of your quote. Tell us when you need the container and how long you expect to use it, and we’ll discuss availability, rental terms, delivery, and pickup.

Delivery and site preparation

Do you deliver?

Delivery is part of your quote. Share your delivery ZIP code and a description of the site, and we’ll confirm whether we can deliver to your location and what it costs.

How should I prepare my site for delivery?

Choose firm, level, well-drained ground. Compacted gravel, a concrete pad, or solid blocks under each corner help keep the container level and off wet soil.

The delivery truck needs much more room than the container itself: a clear, firm path to the spot, space to maneuver, and no low wires or branches overhead. Tell us about access when you request a quote, and send photos if you can.

Do I need a permit for a container?

It depends on your town and how you’ll use the container. Some municipalities regulate where a container can sit, its size, or how long it can stay, and occupied or permanent structures often need building approval. Check with your local building or zoning office before delivery.

Custom builds and paint

What modifications can you make?

Common options include personnel doors, windows, insulation, electrical, lighting, shelving, workbenches, and climate control. We can also talk through a custom concept such as an office, workshop, studio, or pop-up shop.

Can I choose the paint color?

Yes. You can preview colors from the Pen-Rust Marine Enamel line on a container and request a quote in the color you like. Screens show color differently, so ask to see a physical sample before you decide.

How long does a custom build take?

It depends on the scope of the work. We’ll discuss timing with you as part of your quote, so include your desired timeline when you reach out.
